Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms apply to the Green Compass app and website and to paid listings in the guide. Green Compass is published by Stichting Le@f.

1. The service

Green Compass helps people discover sustainable places and temporary initiatives such as pop-ups, markets and temporary shops. Information comes from the places themselves, from our editors and from community contributions.

2. Using the app

You may use Green Compass for personal, non-commercial discovery. Opening hours, availability, prices and accessibility can change: always check the practical details with the place before you travel. We do not guarantee that information is complete or correct.

3. Community contributions

When you suggest a place, report a place, add a pop-up or report a pop-up, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you may share it. We may review, edit, publish, reject or remove contributions. Contributing is always free.

4. Paid listings: what you buy

A paid listing buys visibility for an agreed period: your pop-up appears on the map and in the list of the app during that period, with your own details, in nine languages, carrying the label “Paid listing”. You do not buy visitors, clicks or customers, no position above other listings, and no influence on ranking or order. We promise no result; we promise that your listing is visible as described for that period.

5. Price, VAT and payment

Prices are per pop-up and per period, excluding 21% VAT; VAT is shown separately on your invoice. Participating is free for neighbourhood initiatives, repair cafés, foundations and non-profits. You pay outside the app — by payment link (iDEAL or card) or by invoice with a 14-day term. Payments run through Stripe; we never see your payment details. Your listing is placed after payment has arrived.

6. Delivery and start date

You receive a partner code by e-mail, usually within two working days after payment. With that code you add your pop-up in the app yourself, or you e-mail us the details and we add it. Your listing goes live once we have checked it and runs until the end date you chose; then it disappears automatically, so no outdated listing stays online.

7. Editorial rules

We review every listing. If a pop-up does not fit the guide — think disposable plastic, tobacco or greenwashing — we do not place it; we tell you and refund the full amount. We may also remove a listing if reports come in or if the content is incorrect; in that case we assess any refund case by case.

8. Label and ranking

A paid listing always carries the label “Paid listing”, so visitors know it is a paid placement. Paid pop-ups appear in the list and on the map exactly like submitted pop-ups; only the label differs.

9. Term, changes and cancellation

Your listing runs for the period you chose and is not a subscription: nothing renews or is charged automatically. You can change or cancel your own pop-up in the app, or ask us to. If you stop earlier than agreed, the listing ends on the end date and we do not refund the remaining period — unless we failed to deliver.

10. Refunds

11. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app and the guide available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted operation. We are not liable for consequential loss, lost revenue or missed opportunities. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the listing.

12. Your data for paid listings

For a paid listing we keep your name, e-mail address and invoice details — only to contact you and to invoice you. Invoices are kept as long as the Dutch tax authority requires (seven years). The app itself collects nothing; see the privacy policy for the full picture.
